Our history
Back in 1966, the sole proprietorship Garbarino Giuseppe was founded. After taking part in a partnership with another company, it began its independent activity as an auto repair business, primarily focused on industrial vehicles.
In 1977, with participation in the first specialized training course, the company began providing authorized service for MAN vehicles. This activity, initially started through the general importer for Italy, Euromacchine, was later confirmed in 1987 with the entry of MAN Veicoli Industriali SpA into the market and renewed again in 2004.
At the same time, in the first half of the 1980s, a collaboration with DAF Veicoli Industriali began, initially as an external service point. This partnership later became official with the appointment as an authorized workshop and was reaffirmed in 2003 with the signing of the new European service agreement.
In 1988, Paolo, the son, began working in the company, and in January 1999, together with his father and his wife Emanuela Quartu, he founded Garbarino Paolo & C. snc. The former sole proprietorship was transferred to this new company, which could now look to the future while offering customers decades of specialized experience.
Thanks to over thirty years of experience with MAN industrial vehicles and buses, and to the company’s location just a few steps from the sea, the business expanded into the marine sector as well, operating in western Liguria and internationally when needed.
Since November 2014, Garbarino Paolo & C. Snc has been part of the MAN MARINE SERVICE network, becoming a MAN MASTER STATION in 2017 after signing an authorized workshop agreement with Ranieri & Tonissi Spa, the sole importer for MAN recreational and commercial marine engines in Italy.
As of 2024, the business has been renewed with a full focus on the marine sector, thus leaving the truck world behind. However, it still ensures the availability of multi-brand spare parts for both boats and industrial vehicles.
Garbarino Paolo & C. Snc, thanks to its highly trained staff—who regularly attend training and update courses provided by the parent company—and the use of advanced diagnostic tools and official software, ensures a wide range of technical services, from routine maintenance of marine engines and related systems to complete overhauls.
